The Maritime Gig Festival is the largest annual family festival in the Peninsula area.  This year, in keeping with our theme, “Pirates of the Peninsula,” “Amazing Grace” an 83' topsail schooner is taking  reservations for a two and a half hour cruise that departs from Jerisch Dock in Gig Harbor takes you on a sail of the waters of  Puget Sound and returns to Gig Harbor. Sailing times are: Saturday June 6 from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday June 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Rates are just $55 per person and reservations are required.  Space is limited, to reserve your space online, reserve below or contact the Chamber at 253-851-6865.

Amazing Grace is an 83' topsail schooner based out of Gig Harbor, Washington in the heart of the Puget Sound. Like other schooners, Amazing Grace is the traditional American sailing craft. These 'tall ships' fought the British in the War of Independence and again in 1812, both as ships of the U.S. Navy and as privateers. Today we see them in adventure films, advertising, and where tall ships gather. Sail into a harbor on Amazing Grace and watch the heads turn as people see and hear echoes of the past.
